International Flights Rules

Check-in

For international flights, we advise you to arrive at the Airport 02 hours prior to the flight time for check-in, baggage, security and emigration procedures. 

 

Documents

The documentation required to travel abroad depends on the destination country. It is usually requested a valid passport* (minimum of 06 months before the expiration date) and, where applicable, visa issued by the responsible bodies of the destination country.

For Mercosul countries (Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela), the entry of Brazilian citizens is allowed with RG (ID card) in good condition and with less than 10 years of expedition.

WARNING | Driver's license (CNH) or professional license (OAB for example) are not accepted as a document for international trips.

Baby Seat

The transport of babies on seats is allowed provided that it fits in the seat of the aircraft and is certified for aviation use. You will also need to purchase a ticket for the child normally. 

 

Vaccination

Several countries have health requirements for the entry of Brazilian citizens. See page of National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) [in Portuguese] for all the information.

 

Money

In international trips, value in cash over R$10,000.00 (ten thousand reais), or the equivalent in foreign currency must be declared upon the Receita Federal (IRS).

Tax Exemption

The tax exemption limit is US$ 500.00 (five hundred US dollars) per person on goods purchased abroad and use of property or personal consumption are not taken into account (eg.: clothes, toiletries, a camera etc.).

The traveler is entitled to a second quota of US$ 500.00 (five hundred US dollars) in products purchased in duty free shops (duty free).

Each company has its own rules and conditions for cancellation or rebooking tickets. Talk to your airline for information, terms and rates.
